What is not included
Your LLM subscription is yours.
Cain is an orchestration layer, not a model. You plug in your active ChatGPT Plus, Claude Code, or Codex subscription through your provider’s own secure login (OAuth — your password is never shared with Cain). Cain then talks to the models through your own account — we do not resell tokens, we do not meter your conversations, and we never silently mix our keys with yours.
Memory is formed and stored locally on the dedicated server provisioned for you — voice is transcribed on that server and facts are extracted deterministically — cutting token costs and keeping your private context out of third-party clouds.
You pay Cain for the orchestration software, the dedicated server, and the support. That is the entire scope of this purchase.
Plain-language answers
What exactly do I get for the setup fee?
A dedicated Hetzner server is provisioned for you (we handle setup, monitoring and updates), your Cain account is created, and you receive your activation link via the contact you provided at checkout. Activation takes 5–20 minutes — you connect your Telegram, connect your existing LLM subscription through the provider’s own secure login (OAuth), and complete a short personal onboarding.
Is there a free trial?
No trial. Every Cain runs on a dedicated server provisioned for one specific person, so self-serve trials are not possible. Instead, we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on every purchase — setup fee included — provided you haven't activated Cain yet. No questions asked.
What does Cain cost in total in month one?
Setup ($490, or $990 for Custom) plus the first month's subscription. From month two onward, only the monthly subscription. Your existing LLM subscription (ChatGPT Plus, Claude Code, or Codex) is paid separately to your LLM provider — Cain does not resell or proxy tokens.
How does the founders rate stay locked?
While your subscription remains active and uninterrupted, the $49/mo rate stays with you for life. If the subscription lapses, the founders rate is no longer available — any future subscription is at the standard rate.
Can I switch plans later?
Standard ↔ Custom — yes, contact support and we move you. Founders is the first 20 seats, with no second intake; once a founder seat is gone, it does not return.
Can my team or family share one Cain?
No. Cain is built for one specific person — your context, your decisions, your work style. If multiple people share one Cain, the context blurs and quality drops. For a team or family, each member gets their own Cain.
Where do you take payments and store data?
Payments are accepted in crypto (USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH and others) through NowPayments. Your memory and context live on the dedicated server provisioned for you — we do not aggregate user data on our side. If you cancel, your full memory is exported as a Markdown archive and delivered via Telegram before the server is shut down.
